Anyone Ever Dreamed Of MAC?

I managed to have a sneak peek at MAC's Holiday Collection a few days ago and guess what happened?? I am just so enthralled by more than half of the stuff in the Magic, Mirth & Mischief Collection and Mischief Makers that I have been having 'nightmares'....err.....OK, not horror ones, but at least, Magic, Mirth & Mischief has been appearing in my dream for 2 consecutive nights with all the bubbles and glitters and tinsels and ringing of the bells.........

All right, I know this doesn't sound quite sane to some of you......but really, my sleep had been really disrupted with these images appearing while I am asleep. I told this to my hubby...*ehem....hint hint....

Never have I any kind of similar dream, that is dreaming of some makeup collection. I mean I have dreamed of my beautiful island holidays, pristine white sandy beaches, etc...but a makeup collection?? Never before!

Perhaps, it's the mystical elements and how the photos of the collection were represented that really charmed me.

Anyways, I already had my eyes fixed on quite a number of items from this collection........

Stay tuned!

Hi there,

since you frequently visit the BB store, do you know when the Ltd Edition Shimmer Bricks will be arriving/available in kl?

tx

Hi Anonymous,

I don't visit the BB store as frequently as I do the MAC nowadays. But when I happen to see the LE Shimmerbricks, I will try to report.

Thank you.

thanks! pls do let me know if u spot the shimmer bricks. they're really pretty. but pricey think about rm180 each and they have 3 @_@ i just don't understand why it's smaller but more expensive than the regular sized ones. btw, it's YS here. :)

speaking of mac, I did a small damage last week (b4 the launch) 1 mineralize blush in superdupernatural, 2 ME shadows. was controlling myself so much. everything was so pretty, since no testers yet, i didn't get the palettes but did ask them to reserve a Box Set of the MSF, MES, ME Blusher c/w Mini Kabuki. That itself is a whopping rm300 so couldn't bring myself to pay for that w/o testing

Hi YS,

It's good to hear from you again!! Bet you must be really busy.....same here...

Somehow, been really so into MAC..... Hah!! I also reserved that Box Set-the more pinky one. Yes, RM300 is quite a lot but each individual item adds up to more than that already. Reserved 2 6-color eyeshadow palettes as well....but saw the displays of the lip bags/eye bags today.......am so in love with the cute little pouches now....and they are only RM150 for each set....oh dear..... This collection will definitely break my bank even before I could take another blink of my eye....

And I saw Dior's Noel today............the Crystal Boreal lip gloss pendant....and...and....*having heart flutter now*

Hi Von,

The box set i reserved the brownish set coz i fell in love with shimpagne MSF. The pinkish set's MSF reminded me of petticoat which I had b4.

I'm still undecided if i shud collect it coz i am lemming for the BB mini shimmer bricks and it's reported earlier that it'll be rm180 EACH?? I still don't understand how can the minis' be more expensive than the full sized ones. I hope the report was wrong, coz i plan to get all 3?? OCD in action AGAIN!!!

And i recently over commited thru a spree (Sephora).

Now summore the BB shimmer bricks mini at rm180 each??

Don't need to eat for the next 3 months perhaps.... :)

I dare not visit the dior counter coz i don't want to fall in love with another item just yet.....

arr.....decisions....decisions.....why can't we just have them all ya?
:)

hi again Von,

have you received any news on the availability of the H1N1 vaccine in Malaysia?

I'd like to get my family vaccinated soonest but do not know if it is already available locally.

But I was told that last week star paper had an article stating that Haj Pilgrims have been given the H1N1 vaccinations. So if they can be given, I presume it is available locally?

Hi Honey B,

Memang cantik.....tapi I belum beli lagi...cepatnye you.....

Hi YS,

I don't have Petticoat MSF, so wouldn't mind getting the pink one.

According to my friend, the BB LE shimmerbrick is RM180 each, and it's because the casing is supposed to be metallic, instead of the normal packaging.

Same question harbours over me everyday.....if I could, I would want to get the whole Dior Noel collection, and whole Magic, Mirth and Mischief collection, including all 3 brush sets, etc etc....sigh... Then there is the Benefit cosmetics holiday gift sets....ohhhh.... And have you seen Clarins Palazzo d'Oro???

OK, I'll stop now.....before I have more 'nightmares' again tonight.

What did you get from your Sephora spree? Care to share? ;)

Hi YS,

From what I heard, the H1N1 vaccines are in very limited quantity and they are giving them to the priority groups 1st....

I am still waiting for news on its availability in large scale for the masses. Will let you know....

Anonymous said...

If the local govt follows the priority groups as set by WHO, one of them being, "living in a household with a child under 6 months old", then I should be next in line (haha). My sister just gave birth less than 2 months ago :) but there has not been any advise on what the priority groups are :(

Pls do let me know if you hear any news on the availability of the vaccines.

Also, read that s'pore will be getting their 1st batch of vaccines soon, not sure if they are willing to vaccinate visitors.

Australia is willing, I have checked. But people I know in australia are deploying the "wait and see" atttitude. They say that there may adverse side effects?? What's your take on the side effects issue?

Last week I was really considering going there to get vaccinated, the only downside is under 10 can't be vaccinated yet, so my son cannot, which is why I am waiting for other options.

Do feel free to share your opinion. :)

Now back to cosmetics :)

petticoat is a nice colour, tho not available locally. the thing i disliked abt petticoat was the glitter. found it abit to shimmery. good for clubbing but not for daily use (at least for me).

So it's true that BB Mini Shimmer Bricks will be rm180 each. Ouch, that's really expensive. Since they said MINI, i presume it's smaller than the full sized shimmer bricks?

Abt the mac brush sets, i would suggest that u skip that. The quality of the brushes are not the same as the full sized ones. Brushes from brush sets are made in china while the full sized ones are either made in japan or france (depending on which one). But the pouches for both the brush sets and lip sets are really pretty.

No, have not seen the latest clarins collection yet. are they available locally already? Just not so long ago, I bought their nude e/s palette, now another collection?

Just been notified yesterday that clarins institute will be having member's day early next month. Looking forward to that.

Sephora spree, ordered (will only arrive in 3 wks) some NARS items exclusive to sephora, NARS Fez E/S, Multiples, MAC spree, got the Volcanic Ash Thermal MAsk which was not brought in, to try. Then, at another spree, got the stila 24kt Lipgloss set, barbie loves stila smudgepot in blue and purple. they even have the barbie e/s palette but i let that go, all in all, most of the things i ordered are the things i could not find locally. :) so yeah, cannot wait to receive them.

so u see, with all these purchases this month, sure must be on food diet for the next month :D

Hi YS,

Regarding the H1N1 vaccine, I haven't that much information and sometimes, I wonder what is the definition of "priority group", if you get what I mean.....the language of bureaucracy....;)

Yes, indeed the vaccine does have some recorded side-effects, just as any other vaccine. Will email you some info later.

Hi again YS,

Regarding your Sephora spree.......can you feel/imagine me turning greeeeeennnn?? ;) Volcanic Ash??? Stila's Barbiesss...... *Vonvon squeals gleefully, happy for YS* did you use the current Sephora Friends and Family sale 20% for your purchase?

Thanks for sharing with me about the brush sets...will just skip those then....leaving me some extra moolah for other stuff like the lip and eye kits.....those little pouches are just as cute!!

Palazzo d'Oro from Clarins is not here yet. Their Institute having member day next month?? Do share when you know the date. Thanks dear.
