Review: REN Jojoba Micro Bead Purifying Facial Scrub - By The Intrepid Beauty

Since The Intrepid Beauty has been using some REN products for a while, she will start of this series of reviews (some may be only sample reviews) with a product from REN which I think, will be of some interests for many of you who are having problems with blackheads and whiteheads.

She will be reviewing REN Jojoba Micro Bead Purifying Facial Scrub today.

Product Description*

A deep cleansing, non-abrasive, facial scrub that will leave your skin feeling purified, invigorated and smoothed. Formulated with micro-beads of Jojoba Oil it gently removes dead skin cells and promotes healthy cell renewal. It also contains essential oils of Juniper and Peppermint to detoxify, soothe and cool.



Review

I've been using this product twice a week for the past month and I can say that it is by far the most gentle facial scrub I've ever used. The beads in this scrub are quite small though by no means minuscule. There isn't the harsh abrasive feel of some other scrubs and given the gentle nature of this scrub, it would be very suitable for people with sensitive skins.

This facial scrub contains Jojoba Oil, Juniper Oil and Peppermint Oil. It's white in colour and creamy in consistency. There is a slight peppermint scent which I find refreshing. My immediate sensation after the scrub had been washed off was how soft and smooth my face felt. I was pleased with the results because I'd initially thought that it wouldn't do much since I wasn't used to the gentleness of the scrub. This scrub washes off very easily unlike other scrubs I've used which leave some residue on the face.

I feel that this scrub is very effective at keeping blackheads at bay. Ever since I started using this scrub (twice a week for about a month, at the time of writing), I've noticed less blackheads on my nose (the part of my face which is most prone to the horrible black stuff).

The full size of this product is 150ml and it retails at RM130. It will last a long time, my guess is between 6-9 months and perhaps even longer as you don't need a lot of the product to get good results.
