Les Floralies Sniff Boxes - Good Night's SLEEP & FOCUS In The Morning. And An Overview.

Good morning, my dear readers! Thank God, I woke up to a bright sunny day.

Just kidding last night when I said I was going to continue my ramblings today. Well, I got a little help from Les Floralies SLEEP Sniff Box last night to help me relax and have a restful sleep, and woke up feeling refreshed and now the FOCUS Sniff Box to help me shake off the cobwebs and literally focusing on writing this! :D

Les Floralies SLEEP Sniff Box

I am always longing for more sleep. Don't you all? ;) But somehow I have come to realize over time that the quality of sleep is more important than the quantity of sleep! Of course, there's such thing called 'sleep debt' where you pay back by sleeping the extra hours for the lesser hours which you have slept the previous night(s)/days.

Anyways, when I saw this Les Floralies SLEEP Sniff Box, such a cute little round box with the face of a crescent moon and stars on its lid, I was game to try, but without much expectation. After all, I do believe in aromatherapy and I like all these cutesy little 'accessories'. It consists of tiny fragrant little beads which is covered with a plastic cover with tiny holes. All you need to do is to unscrew its lid before bedtime, take a few sniffs, I tend to inhale deeply for several minutes, and slowly drift off to slumberland. Remember to put back the lid on before you drift off to make the scent last longer.

As this is a mixture of Lavender, Camomile and Neroli, I can't smell much of the lavender as it was beautifully blended with the other 2 scents which together gives a sense of calm and relaxation. Can't quite describe the character of the scent exactly...not a specialist in scent. ;)

I notice that in the morning, even though I may have slept for less than the required 8 hours, I wake up feeling very refreshed and not feeling tired nor having that whiny feeling that "I want to sleep some more". I attribute this to my restful quality sleep.

And to prove that this quality sleep is due to the effects of the SLEEP Sniff Box, after going to bed every night for about 3 nights sniffing SLEEP, I decided to put away the Sniff Box for 2 nights. And gee....... the mornings that followed were just simply crappy, just longing for more sleep when I woke up and feeling lazy to get out of bed. Then, I went back to my bedtime sniffing routine, and I woke up feeling as good as new. I did this 'experiment' twice and each time, with SLEEP, I slept well. Without SLEEP, mornings were slow and crappy.

Les Floralies FOCUS Sniff Box

While I do believe that aromatherapy can help in inducing a sense of calm and relaxation, how does it help in helping one focus and concentrate? I didn't study in depth the effects of essential oils' scents on the various neuronal pathways that control one's concentration and attention span.

Anyways, let's make life more simple instead of Vonvon trying to give a lecture in Physiology of the Higher Brain Centers here...;)

FOCUS Sniff Box has a citrusy scent with a hint of sweet spiciness (not the chili spicy) but the herb-y spicy ('cos of the cinnamon). The scent is refreshing and feels rather stimulating to the senses. Waking up this morning, I reached out to my FOCUS Sniff Box and inhaled several times to shake off the cobwebs.

As I am writing this, I am taking several sniffs at interval to help me stay focus. Does it work? Well, I have to say it does! Words just flow freely......:D

I have used this on different occasion where I needed to finish writing some stuffs (no, it's some non-blogging related stuff...but hey, I love to write... Go figure!) but I couldn't concentrate on them. So I reached out for FOCUS, sniff it and somehow, I managed to finish whatever I need to do! Coincidence? I don't think so.... if it happens once, may be, but several times... I think FOCUS does help.

Besides the 2 Sniff Boxes which I have just reviewed, Les Floralies Apothecary range has 3 other Sniff Boxes in its collection - Aerobic, Recovery and Balance.

Here's the chart of all the Sniff Boxes and their benefits

Summarizing the chart:

SLEEP for stressed, anxious/tense, depressed, lacking sleep, traveling(sleep)

AEROBIC for suffering from cold/congested, in need of a 'lift'

BALANCE for stressed, anxious/tense, depressed, suffering from PMT

FOCUS for in need of a 'lift', traveling(smoke/jet lag), special event(exam/conference), lacking concentration/motivation

Hi Chris,

There is the Sleep Sniff Box under Apothecary range, and the Lavender Sniff Box is under the Earths Organics Gardeners range. Hope that clarifies.
