Topshop Makeup Media Launch

Good evening, my dear readers.

I attended the media launch of Topshop Makeup in Malaysia this morning. There were 2 makeup demos of 2 different looks by Makeup Artist, Taisu - Heavy Duty Look and Day Look.

Table set up with all the makeup for demo

Heavy Duty Look
This look is based on the Heavy Duty Collection.
Taisu used a dark base on the lids, followed by dabbing a black eyeshadow on top of the base to create a smoky effect. Then, he lined the upper lash line, upper waterline, lower lash line and waterline with a black kohl pencil. For the brow, he applied mascara on them to get a more defined brow look.
The artist applied cream blush on the model's cheeks. And for the lips, he used a nude shade lipstick.

This is the Day Look
The artist used a shimmery base for the lids, and lined the waterline with a kohl pencil. But Taisu stressed that even if we didn't want to put on any eyeshadow, it's a must to at least put on mascara for the lashes. And that he did.
Again, cream blush on the cheeks.
And since the eye look was a simple one, the artist used a red lipstick on the model's lips. But instead of using a lip brush to apply a red lipstick, he used his fingers to dab on a thin layer of lipstick on the model's lips, then dab a second layer on top. And blend it out with finger. The effect is natural-looking red lips.

Me getting a makeover from Taisu
He did a simple day look on me, with a purple cream eyeshadow, cream blush on the cheeks and a nude shade lipgloss.
(My apologies for not taking note of the names of the shades used.)

Me and the makeup artist, Taisu, and Princess

And here's my little Topshop Makeup haul.......

Cream eyeshadow in Heavy Metal (RM39)
Eyeshadow in Mercury (RM36)
Nail polish in Paint It On (RM29)

Yea, somehow Vonvon is quite crazy over eyeshadows of different grays lately. Grays have not been my top priority shades for the eyes, or for anything that matters.....
I guess it all started with the by Terry eyeshadow which I used for that dinner look, and I was also playing with a dark gray eyeshadow from Dodo Cosmetics recently(still need to edit the photos).

Swatches of the eyeshadows and nail polish coming up.....

Have a good evening!

Yes, Nicole. They are almost the same prices as in the UK. Almost no mark-up at all! And that makes me very happy. :) Can't wait to see your haul.

Thanks! And is your sister the youngest in the family?

Hi mamaceo, they are already available since early December but only in Topshop Suria KLCC, for now.
